To log in, go to Virtual Pet Simulator → Settings → About → Go to BetterBuy: Contribution Exchange.

Contribution Points are the currency used in “BetterBuy: Contribution Exchange”. They can be earned in the following ways:

Steam Workshop mods with at least 5 upvotes are eligible. Each downvote cancels out 2 upvotes.

The mod must be publicly visible.

• 1 Subscription = 300 Contribution Points
• 1 Favorite = 2,500 Contribution Points
• 1 Upvote = 2,500 Contribution Points

After logging in, go to https://bettercontribution.exlb.net/workshop-content.

Enter the Steam Workshop ID of the mod you published. You can find the Workshop ID on the mod's Steam Workshop page.

If you received a redemption key from an event, make sure to keep the minus sign (-) at the beginning of the key.For example:-3120281985224454716

Contribution Points are calculated based on the issue's label and severity:

• Enhancement (enhancement): 1,000 Contribution Points
• Bug (bug): 10,000 Contribution Points
• Critical Bug: 20,000 Contribution Points or more

Contribution Points are calculated based on the type and significance of the contribution:

• Translation: Calculated based on the number of changed lines. 1 line = 100 Contribution Points or more.
• Bug Fix: 15,000 Contribution Points or more.
• Feature Addition: 15,000 Contribution Points or more.
• Pull requests that are not approved or merged: Evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

These are only the base values. The actual amount may be increased depending on the importance of the contribution and other factors.

• To verify your identity, please send the email from the email address associated with your GitHub account

If you help make the community a better place, we may also award you Contribution Points.

For example, you may earn Contribution Points by helping other players solve VPet-related problems or by creating VPet-related content, such as illustrations or artwork.
