Contribution Points are the currency of “BetterBuy: Contribution Exchange” and can be earned in the following ways:

Mods with 5 or more upvotes are eligible (1 downvote cancels out 2 upvotes)

Mods must be publicly visible

• 1 Subscription = 300 Contribution Points
• 1 Favorite = 2,500 Contribution Points
• 1 Upvote = 2,500 Contribution Points

After logging in, go to https://bettercontribution.exlb.net/workshop-content

Enter the Steam Workshop Mod ID for your published mod. You can find the Steam Workshop ID on the workshop page.

For example, the Workshop ID for https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3747346049 is 3747346049

Calculated based on label and severity:

• Enhancement (enhancement): 1,000
• Contribution Points (bug): 10,000
• Critical Bug: 20,000 Contribution Points or more

• Translation: calculated by lines changed, 1 line = 100 Contribution Points or more
• Bug Fix: 15,000 points or more
• Feature Addition: 15,000 points or more
• Not yet approved for merge: case-by-case basis

These are base values only; actual amounts may be slightly increased based on importance and other factors.

• Your Steam 64-bit ID
• The Issue ID, Pull Request ID, or other proof of your contribution
• To verify your identity, please send the email from the GitHub email address associated with your account

If you help make the community a better place, we will also award Contribution Points as a reward.

For example, helping other players solve issues with the virtual pet, or creating VPet-related content (such as illustrations, artwork, etc.)
